Personal

There's more to life than AI safety (though it sometimes doesn't feel like it). Here's what I care about and spend time on besides AI safety and research.

My Second Brain: Obsidian

I'm a devoted Obsidian user. My vault currently sits at around 3,000 notes and counting.

My philosophy around Obsidian is that it's genuinely my second brain. It forces me to always integrate what I learn into my already existing knowledge base. Every new idea has to find its place in the web of things I already know. This makes it super useful for synthesizing existing ideas into new writing and connecting seemingly unrelated concepts.

I'm planning to write an elaborate post about why Obsidian is amazing and how I use it. Stay tuned on my Substack.

My oh-so-beautiful Obsidian knowledge graph with ~3,000 interconnected notes. I look at this at least once a day on Obsidian to get a dopamine boost.

Sports & Music

Sports

I love competing in sports. I played football and tennis for many years, and I'm currently getting into judo.

Piano

I've played the piano for essentially my whole life. It's a really enjoyable way for me to think differently (or even better, have a moment of no thoughts) and find flow.

What I Value

I really love to read, spend time with loved ones, and have a banger conversation. I believe in effective altruism: trying to do as much good as possible with the resources and time we have. I value honest feedback (hence the feedback page) and always want to hear where I'm wrong.

In pursuit of a world where everyone wants to cooperate in prisoner's dilemmas.
